Chicken Strips and Spiced Coleslaw
Reinvent traditional coleslaw recipe, for a perfect side dish with Flamingo breaded chicken strips!

List of ingredients
8 Flamingo chicken strips
1 cup thinly chopped green cabbage
1 cup thinly chopped red cabbage
1/2 cup celeriac grated
1 carrot grated
1/4 red onion thinly sliced
60 ml (1/4 cup) fresh cilantro roughly minced
2 ml (1/2 teaspoon) chilli powder
Salt and pepper to taste
10 ml (2 teaspoons) liquid honey
45 ml (3 tablespoons) apple cider vinegar
125 ml (1/2 cup) canola oil
Preparation
Cook the chicken strips following the instructions on the packaging.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix well the green cabbage, celeriac, red onion, red cabbage, cilantro, chilli powder, salt and pepper.
In a small bowl, use a hand whisk to mix the liquid honey, vinegar and canola oil.
Add this vinaigrette to the coleslaw and mix well. Cover and let stand on the counter.
Serve the strips on plates as soon as they are out of the oven and add a side of coleslaw.
Tip
from the chef
Replace chicken strips with chicken nuggets or chicken stix for a change.
