Smoked Chicken, Pear and Spinach Pizza
Who said deli meats are only made for sandwiches? Try this delicious pizza ready to serve in no time!
Shaved Smoked Chicken Old-Fashioned

List of ingredients
2 x 175g packages of shaved Old fashioned smoked chicken breast
4 thin pizza crusts or 36 cm (14 inch) pizza crust, pre-baked
15 ml (1 tablespoon) olive oil
2 cloves of garlic, chopped
5 ml (1 teaspoon) dried oregano
80 ml (1/3 cup) red onion, thinly sliced
1 fresh pear or drained tinned pear, sliced
225 g brie cheese, sliced
Ground black pepper to taste
250 ml (1 cup) fresh baby spinach, thinly sliced
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
In a bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic and oregano. Brush the pizza crusts with this flavourful mixture.
Spread the garnish, apart from the spinach, over the crusts, finishing with the Brie.
Bake the pizzas in the centre of the oven for 4 – 6 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the crusts are golden.
Tip
from the chef
If you don't have pizza crust handy, you can use pita bread or naan bread.
For a gluten-free diet, use bread made from buckwheat for example!
