Original Cooked Turkey Breast Roast

List of ingredients

  • 225 g cooked turkey roast, sliced
  • 4 submarine buns or 1 baguette divided equally in 4 parts
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 250 ml (1 cup) grated carrots
  • 1/2 English cucumber thinly sliced

 

Spread:

  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) cream cheese
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) grilled red bell pepper, peeled and seeded
  • 1 green onion roughly chopped
  • Hot pepper sauce to taste
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) fresh herbs of your choice roughly chopped (basil, chives, oregano, parsley, etc.)
  • Ground black pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Blend the spread ingredients into a puree using a food processor. Add the fresh herbs and season to taste.
  2. Cover the inside of the buns with the pepper spread.
  3. Garnish each one with a lettuce leaf, add carrots, cucumbers and complete the sandwich by adding the sliced turkey.
  4. Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.

  • Double the spread recipe to serve as a dip with a side of vegetables or crackers.
